Perhaps you already know this, but climate change has a devastating link to our health.
From the effects of extreme heat, climate-related natural disasters, and air pollution to the spread of infectious diseases and the impact on food and water, there is no aspect of our individual and collective health that climate change won’t touch.
But there is good news: we can still act to lower greenhouse gas emissions and reduce the damaging health effects of climate change.
That’s why this year’s 24 Hours of Reality broadcast will focus on the connection between climate change and health and show the world that it’s time to act.
Every year we spend 24 straight hours focusing the world’s attention on the full truth, scope, and scale of the climate crisis with a live global broadcast featuring former US Vice President Al Gore, Climate Reality Leaders, activists, celebrities, community leaders, and more.
This year’s broadcast, 24 Hours of Reality: Protect Our Planet, Protect Ourselves, will take place from 8 PM EST on December 3 to 8 PM EST on December 4.
