About Rebecca Johnson
Rebecca’s responsibilities at FracTracker support administrative, operational and human resource functions of the organization. She coordinates several employee and organizational accounts, budgets and reports pertaining to various HR-related issues, and she manages all the paperwork those issues entail. Her job each day varies, from organizing documents and maintaining records, to monitoring budgets, tracking projects and offering HR support.
Rebecca has Bachelor’s Degrees in Journalism and International Studies, and a Master’s in Conservation Leadership. During graduate school, she worked in Samburu County, Kenya as a research consultant at a local nonprofit community wildlife conservancy, where she assessed the conservancy’s impacts on the community and development. She has a deep interest in conservation in indigenous communities, and she enjoys learning and writing about how local communities adapt to a changing environment.
Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys reading, painting, music and exploring the great outdoors.
